Former Strikeforce title contender Pat Healy is headed to Titan FC. The promotion announced the signing on Monday.
Healy (30-20) is a veteran of the sport, having earned a win over Ricardo Tirloni in Argentina over the weekend.
“Bam Bam” was released by the UFC this past July following a fourth straight loss to Gleison Tibua. All of his fights since a 2013 win over Jim Miller was overturned due to a failed drug test went to the scorecards, and Healy was on the losing end each time.
Prior to that, he had won six in a row to earn a title shot in Strikeforce against champion Gilbert Melendez. However, Melendez was injured and the promotion eventually purchased by the UFC, leaving Healy without ever getting his crack at the belt.
No date or opponent for Healy’s debut with Titan FC was announced at the time of the signing.
