Tim Kennedy didn’t mean to steal an opponent from a fellow fighter, it just worked out that way.
Kennedy will now face Rafael Natal in the main event of UFC Fight For The Troops 3 next month. He was originally scheduled to face Lyoto Machida.
Machida, however, took Michael Bisping’s place vs. Mark Munoz. Now, the removal of Natal from a planned fight with Ed Herman has left Herman without an opponent.
Kennedy has an answer to help Herman: Twitter.
“I don’t want you to be mad,” Kennedy wrote. “I know what you’re going through right now and the only way to respond is to take it out on Twitter.”
After news of Machida’s exit was made official, the former Strikeforce contender called out many fighters on the UFC’s active roster, pursuing a fight to remain on the card. He will be competing in front of military personnel, something near and dear to the heart of the Army Ranger.
