Tim Kennedy went on a Twitter mission to find a new opponent when Lyoto Machida was switched to an earlier card due to injuries. The former Strikeforce middleweight title contender will take on Rafael Natal in the main event of UFC Fight Night 31.
When Strikeforce folded earlier in the year, Kennedy was one of the names that joined the UFC. His UFC debut was a decision win over Roger Gracie to improve to 16-4.
Natal will headline his first card off three straight wins. He picked up Fight of the Night against Tor Troeng last month.
Ed Herman was supposed to meet Kennedy at UFC 167 and he now needs a new opponent.
UFC Fight Night 31 is November 6 from Fort Campbell, KY.
