Ronda Rousey, Emanuel Newton and Cris “Cyborg” Justino will all main event action Friday and Saturday night for your viewing pleasure, as three cards from the UFC, Bellator MMA and Invicta FC take place.
First up will be Bellator 134 on Friday night, with action airing both online and courtesy Spike TV. Invicta FC 11 also goes down Friday via UFC Fight Pass, while UFC 184 completes the weekend Saturday on Fight Pass, FOX Sports 1 and pay-per-view.
FightLine will have you covered with results and play-by-play, along with all your latest breaking news.
But, what are three fights that you simply cannot miss? We’ll, let’s take a look at that below:
Emanuel Newton vs. Liam McGeary for the Bellator light heavyweight title/Bellator 134
This spot would have been filled by Douglas Lima and Paul Daley for the welterweight crown, but an injury knocked Lima out of action for the time being.
Instead, we get to see unbeaten Liam McGeary try to do what Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (twice), Joey Beltran and Attila Vegh have been unable to – topple Emanuel Newton.
While still under the radar in terms of the 205-pound division, Newton has strung together an impressive win streak, including those aforementioned victories over Newton, Beltran and Vegh.
McGeary, though, is a different beast. He’s been on a tear since coming to Bellator, including three stoppage wins to capture a tournament title and shot at the belt.
