Thiago Santos has quietly strung together a four-fight win streak in the UFC’s middleweight division, scoring a first round finish of Nate Marquardt Saturday night at UFC 198.
Santos (13-3) has scored wins over Elias Theodorou, Steve Bosse and Andy Enz since a 2014 decision loss to Uriah Hall. Overall, the Brazilian is 5-2 inside the Octagon.
After unleashing his power right from the start on Marquardt, Santos picked his spots before finishing the former Strikeforce champion.
So, riding high, who does he want next?
“The crowd decides,” he said. “(Michael) Bisping, (Derek) Brunson, (Robert) Whittaker. Whoever they want.”
Santos has finished seven of his 13 fights in the first round and owns three knockouts among his last four wins.
