Stipe Miocic knows that Mark Hunt has one-punch knockout power.
But that doesn’t mean he’s concerning himself with it as the two prepare to step inside the Octagon tonight at UFC Fight Night 65 in Australia.
Miocic has been in the cage with the likes of Junior dos Santos, Fabio Maldonado, Gabriel Gonzaga and Roy Nelson.
“I think everyone has knockout power,” said Miocic, during an interview with Submission Radio. “It’s the heavyweight division. Everyone has four-ounce gloves on and they’re big boys and they can throw hard.
“JDS has knockout power and walk away power. I’m gonna do my game plan and be fine with it.”
Miocic (12-2) is coming off a loss to dos Santos where he pushed the former champion for 25 minutes. That provided the Top-5 heavyweight with plenty of confidence, and he believes he has all the edges in his bout with Hunt.
“I think stand up, on the ground, conditioning,” he said. “Doesn’t matter. Against the cage, clinch work against the fence.”
As for an official prediction, Miocic simply said “you’ll see it at the end of the fight when I have my hand raised. You’ll see what happens.”
