Steven Siler opened his UFC career with three straight wins and a 5-1 mark over the span of two-plus years.
However, three consecutive setbacks have led to Siler’s release from the promotion. He sent out a message on Twitter confirming the news on Thursday.

Siler (23-13) opened his Octagon career with a pair of decisions over Josh Clopton and Cole Miller before submitting Joey Gambino. He dropped a decision to Darren Elkins in 2012, but rebounded with wins over Kurt Holobaugh and former WEC champion Mike Brown.
In late 2013, though, he dropped a decision to Dennis Bermudez, was finished by Rony Jason in 2014 and lost this past July to Noah Lahat.
