UFC heavyweight Stefan Struve is ready to continue his MMA career, and his doctor agrees.

Struve, who was diagnosed with a rare heart condition that forced him to scrap training and fighting, has been cleared to return to action.

“I’m just working on the last details with the UFC right now for my clearance,” said Struve, during a recent interview with “They’ve got everything. Everything is there and we’re just waiting on the UFC to do their thing.”

Struve (25-9) has won nine of his 13 UFC bouts, including four straight finishes from 2011-12. He was topped by Mark Hunt last a year ago before doctors noticed he had an enlarged heart and leaking aortic valve. The blood is now flowing normal through Struve’s heart and he wants to fight.

“I’m ready to go into a training camp,” he stated. “I can be ready in two-or-three months.”

Prior to the Hunt setback, Struve (25-6) had submitted both Pat Barry and Lavar Johnson, while earning TKO victories over Dave Herman and Stipe Miocic.
