An interesting light heavyweight bout is slated for Australia this December, as former UFC champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will look to snap his losing streak vs. James Te Huna.
The bout would be part of UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Bigfoot on December 7 in Australia (December 6 in U.S.). The Daily Telegraph first reported it, which would join a main event between Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva.
Rua (21-8) was submitted by Chael Sonnen last month, dropping his overall UFC record to 5-6. He also lost to Alexander Gustafsson and is just 1-3 in his last four.
Te Huna (16-6) had been on a four-fight win streak before a loss to Glover Teixeira. He is 5-2 inside the Octagon.
