Representing Alienware along with hottie Felice Herrig, UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks and Bellator 170-pound champion Douglas Lima had a fun staredown recently.
The two, with title belts in hand, had to be “separated” by a distraught looking Herrig. The female fighter will be part of the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter 20, which will feature an entire case of women strawweights.
Neither Hendricks or Lima have a current title-fight set, as both are awaiting word on their next contender.
Of note, on the Bellator account where the photo was posted on Twitter, they added, “The world’s greatest welterweight Douglas Lima squares off against Johny Hendricks at E3.”
In an interview with FightLine after his world title win, Lima talked about his standing in the MMA welterweight pecking order.
“I put myself up there,” he said, in regards to the top fighters in the division. “I’m definitely not the best, but I’m training hard to be. I just want to fight the best and move up in the ranks.
“I watch all the 170 pounders. I’ll fight any of them, I would love to fight the Top-5 in the world, but we are not in the same organization.”
