Rory MacDonald completed his UFC contract when he fought Stephen Thompson earlier this year.
Now that 60 days have passed since that bout, MacDonald is likely free to negotiate with any MMA company he wants.
The former title contender was removed from the UFC’s official rankings recently, pushing 12 fighters up a spot and opening a hole for Albert Tumenov to move in.
MacDonald, who turned 27 last month, lost his last two fights to Thompson and then-champion Robbie Lawler. He has fought for the UFC since 2010, going 9-4 overall.
