Rory MacDonald stated that you can always tell how he’s feeling by the look on his face. He made sure to let everyone know that his UFC 174 fight was one of his best yet.
MacDonald dominated Tyron Woodley, earning his second straight win since a split decision loss to Robbie Lawler.
“I’m happy,” he said, during the post-fight show on FOX Sports 1. “I felt like I was at my best. I am always honest with you guys. You can see it in my face when I am talking that I am telling the truth.
“I’ve never felt better.”
While he didn’t specifically say he wanted a title shot next, MacDonald did reiterate that he will be ready to compete for the championship when the UFC gives him that chance. Currently, Lawler and Matt Brown are expected to square off in a No. 1 contender match to challenge Johny Hendricks.
“I was impressed with my training,” he said. “My whole fight camp, it showed in the fight. I felt great.”
