It appears as if both Ronda Rousey and UFC female bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes will get what they want.
UFC president Dana White announced on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” Wednesday that Rousey will challenge Nunes for the title at UFC 207 this December.
The event is set for December 30 – a Friday – from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
“The thing that everybody has been waiting for for a good year, Ronda Rousey is back,” White said. “She will fight December 30 for the title.”
Rousey (12-1) has not fought since dropping the title to Holly Holm this past November. Nunes (13-4) improved her UFC mark to 6-1 with a finish of Miesha Tate in the main event of UFC 200.
White also claimed that a win by Rousey over Nunes would set her up for a meeting with Cris “Cyborg” Justino in 2017.
