I promised her (a title shot), ‘One day we are going to have the title fight you deserve. I’m going to beat you, but we’re going to have it.’

“So I’m still waiting for her, and I would love to fight Bethe (Correia). I would love to fight Holly Holm. There are so many women in the UFC right now.”

UFC president Dana White has stated they are close in getting a contract finished with Carano, a former Strikeforce fighter who left the sport several years ago after a loss to Cris Cyborg.

“Jessica’s performance right now as very impressive, and so yeah, there are girls out there,” she said. “I would love Gina to be one of them, but if not, good luck on her journey.

“This business isn’t perfect. And for Gina, no one can want to fight for you. I would never be mad at her for anything. She’s pretty flawless in my eyes. She changed my entire life.”
