UFC president Dana White announced during the post-fight press conference that Ronda Rousey will defend her UFC female bantamweight title against Sara McMann in the main event of UFC 170.
That role was originally set to feature Daniel Cormier’s debut at light heavyweight against Rashad Evans.
Rousey, who defeated Miesha Tate Saturday night, and McMann are both former Olympic medalists. Rousey won a bronze in judo, while McMann a silver in wrestling.
“I feel like I could fight again tonight,” said Rousey, during the press conference.
McMann (7-0) made her UFC debut with a finish of Sheila Gaff in April. Three of her career wins have come via submission.
