Ronda Rousey has no plans to provide Cris “Cyborg” Justino a catchweight bout.
Rousey, who will defend her UFC female bantamweight title Saturday night at UFC 184 vs. Cat Zingano, isn’t interested in meeting Cyborg at 140 pounds.
Cyborg is the current Invicta FC featherweight champion and was going to attempt to make 135 before an injury last year.
“No, I’m not making an exception for a cheater,” said Rousey, during a recent interview on UFC Tonight. “The only one I’ll make an exception for is Gina Carano because she’s such a pioneer in the sport.
“I’d be honored to fight her.”
Rousey was referring to Cyborg’s positive test for stanozolol after a 2011 victory over Hiroko Yamanaka. She has successfully passed all of her pre-fight drug tests leading into Friday’s bout with Charmaine Tweet.
As for Rousey vs. Carano, that fight was heating up last year before Carano decided to sign on for several more movie roles, likely leaving her MMA career in the past.
