Everything is all squared away for Ronda Rousey and Cat Zingano to meet next Saturday night at UFC 184.
Both the UFC female bantamweight champion and her challenger have passed their pre-fight drug tests, according to information released by California Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster.
Rousey and Zingano were given urine tests last week and the results came back negative for any performance-enhancing drugs. The commission will test both again after they compete inside the Octagon on February 28 from Los Angeles and the Staples Center.
The UFC’s last two pay-per-view events have had issues with fighters failing drug tests. In early January, light heavyweight champion Jon Jones defeated Daniel Cormier, but pre-fight tests showed he had cocaine in his system.
Later that month, Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz met. Silva has since failed multiple drug tests for banned substances, while Diaz was flagged for marijuana.
