Roger Bowling Wants Redo On UFC Fight Night 27 Debacle With Abel Trujillo

UFC Fight Night 27 started off shaky as the opening prelim bout between Roger Bowling and Abel Trujillo went to a no contest. Trujillo connected with what were called two illegal knees and the doctor waived the fight.

UFC president Dana White said the call was wrong and the shots to a downed Bowling were legal. Don’t tell that to Bowling.

“There’s no way they were legal,” said Bowling to MMA Fighting. “I got a cut above my eye from it. It hurts more than anything that they stopped the fight. I felt I could have continued and kept fighting. I just want a rematch.”

Bowling had nothing negative to say about the decision as the shots weren’t intentional. He wants to make the rematch happen as they were just closing the second round when the issue occurred.

UFC Fight Night 27 was this past Wednesday, August 28. It came from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.
