For Mark Hunt, the road to the UFC heavyweight championship could play out like a revenge tour.
Hunt scored his seventh Octagon victory Saturday night, knocking out former champion Frank Mir in the main event of UFC Fight Night 85.
So, what’s next for “The Super Samoan?”
“I’d fight any of the top guys. I could rematch any (heavyweight such as Junior) dos Santos, Stipe (Miocic), the (champion) Fabricio (Werdum),” he said, during the post-fight press conference. “I’ve never lost a rematch.”
Hunt (12-10-1) is now on a two-fight win streak and is 7-3-1 since 2011. That includes wins vs. Mir, Antonio Silva, Roy Nelson, Stefan Struve and Ben Rothwell.
His run to the title, though, was stopped short with defeats against the likes of Miocic, Werdum and dos Santos over that time.
