Despite going 6-2 over his UFC career, the promotion has reportedly parted ways with heavyweight Jared Rosholt, according to a report by MMAFighting.com.
News started to leak concerning the release when Rosholt’s name was removed from the official UFC rankings. The former Oklahoma State University wrestling standout lost to Roy Nelson in February.
Prior to the setback via decision, Rosholt (14-3) had picked up three consecutive wins over Josh Copeland, Timothy Johnson and Stefan Struve. His other Octagon wins came vs. Soa Palelei, Daniel Omielanczuk and Walt Harris around a 2014 knockout defeat at the hands of Oleksiy Oliynyk.
