According to a source close to FightLine, Tim Means will return to the Octagon July 26 at UFC on FOX 12 to face Hernani Perpetuo. Since the bout has yet to be made official by the UFC, the source asked to remain confidential.

Means (20-6-1) suffered a decision loss earlier this month to Neil Magny after resigning with the promotion. He was released in 2013 after back-to-back decision losses at lightweight to Danny Castillo and Jorge Masvidal.

Upon heading to the regional scene, Means decided on welterweight as his new fighting home. He finished Pete Spratt and Artenas Young for Legacy FC.

Perpetuo (17-4) suffered a decision loss to Jordan Mein in April in his Octagon debut, snapping a nine-fight unbeaten streak that saw the Brazilian go 8-0 with one no-contest.

Below is the current lineup for the card:

Light Heavyweight: Anthony Johnson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira

Lightweight: Josh Thomson vs. Michael Johnson

Featherweight: Clay Guida vs. Dennis Bermudez
