Former UFC title contender Rory MacDonald’s next fight will take place in Bellator MMA.
The six-year UFC veteran is set to sign a new fight contract with the Spike TV promotion, according to a report by FloCombat. Other reports have stated that the UFC will not match the offer presented to the 27-year-old from Canada.
MacDonald completed his UFC deal earlier this year, falling to Stephen Thompson via decision. In 2015, he was bested by then-UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler in a “Fight of the Year” bout.
The Bellator welterweight champion is Andrey Koreshkov, who recently defended his title against former UFC lightweight titleholder Benson Henderson.
