Report: Joe Lauzon Out Of UFC 180, Sanchez Still On Docket

ufc 180

According to multiple reports, Joe Lauzon has been forced out of a planned November fight with Diego Sanchez at UFC 180.

No exact reason for Lauzon’s exit from the lightweight encounter have been mentioned. He was tabbed as a replacement for Norman Parke, who suffered a knee injury in training.

Sanchez has pushed hard to compete on the November 15 card, as it serves as the UFC’s debut in Mexico. The event recently lost heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez to a knee injury, as Mark Hunt vs. Fabricio Werdum now serves as the main event for the interim title.

Two new Ultimate Fighter winners are expected to be crowned that night, as the finals of TUF: Latin America take place. Below is the current card:

Featherweight: Ricardo Lamas vs. Dennis Bermudez
