According to a report by MMAFighting, former NFL All-Pro defensive end Greg Hardy is leaving football to compete in MMA.
Hardy, 28 years old, was a sixth round draft pick out of the University of Mississippi by the Carolina Panthers in 2010. He was named to the Pro Bowl and a second team All-Pro following the 2013 season in which he recorded a franchise-best 15 sacks.
But Hardy has struggled off the field.
He’s been involved in domestic violence cases that have left him suspended and was recently found with cocaine.
Hardy last played for the Dallas Cowboys last season, competing in 12 games and recording six sacks.
FOX Sports 1’s Colin Cowherd has talked for weeks about NFL players looking to move into MMA.
Greg Hardy to MMA. It's starting. Did I tell ya?
