According to a report by SporTV Globo, the unified UFC heavyweight championship match between Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum will take place this June at UFC 188.

Velasquez and Werdum were set to meet this past November, but a training injury knocked Velasquez out. The UFC went ahead with an interim title fight won by Werdum over Mark Hunt.

The 32-year-old Velasquez (13-1) hasn’t fought since late in 2013 when he successfully defended his title with a finish of Junior dos Santos. He is on a four-fight win streak since losing the belt to dos Santos.

Werdum (19-5-1) has won each of his last five, including victories over Hunt, Travis Browne and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

The June 13 card will take place in Mexico City and mark the second UFC event for the country. Werdum posted the following picture on Instagram, indicating the title fight being close to finalization.
