Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva just might get the chance to compete in his home country after all.
Sherdog.com reported late Wednesday night that plans are in place for Silva to meet Uriah Hall at UFC 198 this May. The event is set for Brazil inside a soccer stadium, as Fabricio Werdum defends his heavyweight belt vs. Stipe Miocic.
Both Silva and Hall are coming off losses, as “The Spider” was bested recently by Michael Bisping. Hall, a former Ultimate Fighter finalist, lost to Robert Whittaker after scoring a TKO vs. Gegard Mousasi earlier in 2015.
A return home might just do Silva good, as the veteran has not won since beating Stephan Bonnar in Brazil in 2012.
