When UFC president Dana White heard Renzo Gracie wanted one more chance for the promotion, the boss pegged the simple question of why.
“For having nothing to prove nor nothing to gain,” said Gracie to MMA Fighting. “To fight for what it is without reason, without greed, just for the passion to step once again in the arena and be an inspiration for a future generation of great fighters. To prove that age is only a handicap for the soft ones.”
Last time Gracie fought, it was as third round TKO loss to Matt Hughes at UFC 112. That occurred in 2010 and Gracie is now 46-years-old.
If the UFC doesn’t bight, Gracie will fight anywhere and wants to return in February 2014.
