Reebok is not fleeing from Jon Jones after the UFC light heavyweight champion was involved in a hit-and-run incident in New Mexico over the weekend.
On Reebok’s official Twitter account, the shoe giant stated they are “reserving judgement until more facts about the incident and Jones’ involvement are available.”
Reebok has put a lot of stock in “Bones,” releasing a shoe with the fighter featured in television commercials.
On Sunday, Jones was part of a three-car accident in Albuquerque that sent a pregnant woman to the hospital. Police reports state that he left the scene before officers arrived, returning once to obtain something from the vehicle rented in his name.
Late Monday, Jones turned himself into the Albuquerque Police Department.
@rfalcon1427 Thx for the question, Rick. We're reserving judgement until more facts about the incident and Jones' involvement are available.
