Rashad Evans got his crack at light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and it ended in a decision win for “Bones.” Now with a little momentum and Evans is interested in another go-around with Jones.
“I hit a bit of a slump losing two fights in a row, so now I am getting back on track with my win against Dan Henderson,” said Evans to Fighters Only. “I want to get back in the race, I want to get another fight with Jon Jones, he’s at the top right now and I want to work my way back up there and get another chance to fight him.”
After taking the defeat to Jones, Antônio Rogério Nogueira handed Evans another loss via decision. He snapped that losing skid by getting a split-decision over Henderson.
Jones just broke the UFC light heavyweight record for most title defenses. He got number six against Alexander Gustafsson.
Evans returns at UFC 167 opposite Chael Sonnen. It’s November 16 and comes from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
