It wasn’t the kind of night Rafael Natal was hoping for.
Natal, who called New York City home for eight years, was stopped by Tim Boetsch Saturday night in the first round of UFC 205.
“I’m disappointed but I can take nothing away from Tim,” he said. “I have lived in New York for eight years and it has been my dream to fight in Madison Square Garden. I will be back.”
The loss was the second straight for Natal (21-8-1) after putting together a four-fight win streak between 2014-16 that included wins over Uriah Hall and Chris Camozzi.
