Chris Lokteff wants to prove he’s one of the best heavyweight by continuing to finish fights. Of Lokteff’s 11 wins, nine came from the referee stepping in and two via submission. The Australian seeks to continue the pace with Tony Johnson at Friday’s ONE FC 12.
“I’ve finished 11 of my opponents within two rounds and I can’t see why my bout against Tony Johnson will be any different,” said Lokteff to MMA Kanvas. “I will be looking to knock him out or finish him by submission. Either way, I will be looking for the finish and bringing home my win bonus. I am very excited about fighting one of the best heavyweights ONE FC has on my debut.”
The 11-1 Lokteff has won three in a row, with the latest streak taking place this year. He meets the American Johnson.
After a two year absence, Johnson returned in May to stop former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia. It was Johnson’s ONE FC debut.
ONE FC 12 is November 15 and comes from the Putra Indoor Stadium in Malaysia.
