Shinya Aoki was pushed the full 25 minutes Friday for his ONE Championship lightweight title, but in the end, the reigning titleholder held on to the belt.
Aoki earned a decision victory over Koji Ando in the main event of ONE: Warrior’s Quest from Sinagpore. It marked the second successful title defense for Aoki (38-6) and first time in two years that he failed to end the bout early.
In the co-main event, Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke became the first men’s strawweight champion, scoring a decision over Roy Doliguez.
Other winners were Marat Gafurov, Lowen Tynanes, Ariel Sexton, Shannon Wiratchai, Angela Lee, A La Teng Hei Li, Benedict Ang and Jianbing Yang.
