Angela Lee was pushed to the final round for the first time in her career, but the 19-year-old did not disappoint, besting Mei Yamaguchi Friday and becoming the ONE atomweight champion.
Lee and Yamaguchi were the main event for ONE: Ascent to Power, which took place from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
Having finished all five of her previous opponents in either the first or second round, Lee looked nothing but prepared for a 25-minute battle with Yamaguchi. She scored the decision victory on all three scorecards.
In the co-main event, Roger Gracie captured the light heavyweight title with a submission win over Michal Pasternak.
