Swedish featherweight Niklas Backstrom has signed a multi-fight deal with BAMMA, the promotion announced recently.
Backstrom is 9-2-1 in his career and has scored seven finishes, including four knockouts.

BAMMA today confirm the signing of Swedish MMA Featherweight Niklas Bäckström to a multi fight deal with the promotion. The deal sees the All Star Gym standout join the already deeply talented BAMMA Featherweight division.
Niklas Bäckström (9-2-1) has made a huge impact in Europe in a short amount of time, competing at the highest level of the sport. The Stockholm native now moves into the talent rich BAMMA Featherweight division to take on all comers in his pursuit of BAMMA gold. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt has recorded 4 wins via KO, 3 by submissions and 2 via decision. With a submission wrestling base alongside his BJJ, he is also a skilled kick boxer and boxer.
With wins over Max Coga and World Pankratation and three time World Sambo gold medalist Sergej Grecicho already to his name, Bäckström now gets opportunity to make his mark in this stacked division. With the likes of Ronnie Mann, Graham Turner, Nad Naramani, Mike Grundy and current BAMMA Featherweight Champion Tom ‘Fire Kid’ DuQuesnoy already contending within the division, there are no shortage of huge potential match ups on the horizon.
