Nikita Krylov Goes All “Al Capone” On Marcos Rogerio De Lima

ufc fight night 74

Nikita Krylov looked like he would be forced to tap to a pair of deep guillotine choke attempts by Marcos Rogerio de Lima Sunday night at UFC Fight Night 74.

Instead, the fighter nicknamed “Al Capone,” stole a win out from under Lima, locking up his own rear-naked choke in the first round.

The win was the third straight for Krylov (19-4) and moved his UFC record to 4-2 overall. He fought twice in the heavyweight division before moving down to 205 pounds.

“I was sure,” was Krylov’s response after being asked about getting the tap.

He also said that “I wouldn’t tap either way” when Lima had locked up his submission attempts.

Lima (13-3-1) saw his six-fight unbeaten streak come to an end.
