Nik Lentz: Nobody Stopping Me At 145 Pounds

Nik Lentz felt his UFC career slipping, so he cut to featherweight and it’s been one of the best calls he could have made. He’s won three straight at 145 pounds and is ready for featherweight champion Jose Aldo.

“Since I’ve moved down to 145 pounds, I’m a completely different person,” said Lentz during the UFC on FOX 9 conference. “People don’t know it yet, but, I’m going to be the hardest guy that Chad Mendes ever fought. That’s guaranteed, that includes Jose Aldo.”

In his featherweight debut, Lentz finished Eiji Mitsuoka in the opening round. This year, he has decisions over Diego Nunes and Hacran Dias. He now takes on Mendes at UFC on FOX 9.

Mendes is 15-1 with the defeat coming from Aldo. He’s since finished his last four fights, with three not going past round one.

UFC on FOX 9 is December 14 from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, CA.
