Nick Diaz is a former Strikeforce champion and top contender to the UFC welterweight title.
He owns impressive wins over some of the best fighters in MMA.
But after a third straight loss at UFC 183 Saturday night, Diaz (26-10) is growing tired of not being declared the victor inside the Octagon.
“I’m tired of being a loser,” he said, during his own post-fight press conference. “I’m here, but I’m losing all these fights.”
All three defeats have been via decision, and unanimously at that, but Diaz has fought Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre and Carlos Condit. He was returning Saturday from a nearly-two-year layoff due to a self-imposed retirement.
The Stockton bad boy has competed 14 times over two stints with the UFC, splitting the bouts evenly with seven wins and seven losses.
“I’m happy, I guess, to put on a show for the fans,” he said. “I don’t know what to make of it right now.”
