Vadim Finkelchtein Claims UFC Talks With M-1 Global Are Bogus
Vadim Finkelchtein Claims UFC Talks With M-1 Global Are Bogus As you may have heard, Fedor Emelianenko and his manager/M-1 Global president, Vadim Finkelchtein, allegedly posted similar comments on their Twitter accounts hinting they were on the verge of bolting from Strikeforce for the Octagon. Late Monday afternoon, Finkelchtein alerted the MMA world that they are not in talks with the UFC and those Tweets are bogus. In fact, they don’t even have Twitter accounts.

“Today I heard the rumors of me allegedly stating on my twitter account that we are negotiating with the UFC. I want to state that there are no talks with the UFC whatsoever," Vadim Finkelchtein stated on M-1Global.com. "Our partner in the USA is StrikeForce, we are happy to cooperate with StrikeForce. Fedor (Emelianenko) and Gegard (Mousasi) fight there and they are quite happy with the conditions and how they are treated with respect there.

"Finally, I don’t have any account on Twitter. The account that ignited the rumors is false. Our attorneys are already aware of the situation and shortly this fake account will be deleted.”

As we noted yesterday, UFC President Dana White claimed to have spoken with officials from M-1 Global “more recently than you would think.”

Following White’s update, he was asked how likely it would be to see Mousasi, a 24-year old Dutch striker, fighting in the octagon alongside his Red Devil Sports Club teammate, Fedor.

"I wouldn't say he never would be," White said on Saturday. "It's not that I don't want to talk to M-1. I want to get this [expletive] done. I want him, and I want Fedor. I want to do it. And I never say never. They can call me right now, and we can start talking and figure this thing out. I'd love to get Mousasi in here. He should be. He deserves to be.”
