Dan Hardy Confirms March Title Bout With Georges St-Pierre
By Tim Ngo | December 11, 2009
UFC welterweight title contender Dan Hardy has just confirmed the return of champion Georges St-Pierre during the UFC Q&A session Memphis, Tennessee. Hardy will challenge St-Pierre in March at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. After shutting out Mike Swick at UFC 105: Couture vs. Vera and taking home a unanimous decision, Hardy threw himself right into the title picture.
St-Pierre has been out of action since his UFC 100 win over Thiago Alves last July but has been helping Kenny Florian train for his upcoming bout against Clay Guida at UFC 107: Penn vs. Sanchez.
Hardy seems confident that the champ won’t want to stand and trade with him if he’s smart.
“He knows what’s coming. He knows there’s a left hook with his name on it and some time during the 25 minutes I’ll land it,” Hardy told fans during the Q&A session.
