Randy Couture To Face Mark Coleman At UFC 109
By Raj Giri | November 18, 2009
Sherdog.com is reporting that Randy Couture and Mark Coleman have verbally agreed to a bout at UFC 109 on Feb. 6 in Las Vegas, NV, making it the first time that two UFC hall of famers have faced each other. The bout will not be the first time that Couture and Coleman have faced each other, as the two wrestled one another in a freestyle match at the 1989 Olympic Festival at Oklahoma State, which Coleman won by one point.
Couture is coming off of a Randy unanimous decision victory over the much younger Brandon Vera this past Saturday at UFC 105, while Coleman is also coming off a unanimous decision victory over a much younger opponent as he defeated Stephan Bonnar at UFC 100 this past July.
