The California State Athletic Commission has placed eight UFC 104 fighters on medical suspension for various injuries sustained in their contests this past Saturday at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. Light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida will be sidelined for two months due to a cut on his lip.
Here are the fighters that have been placed on the IR:
Antoni Hardonk suspended for 45 days for knockout.
Rob Kimmons suspended for 45 days for knockout and 60 days for laceration on the left side of the forehead.
Pat Barry suspended 180 days or cleared by physician for possible fracture of left wrist.
Eric Schafer suspended for 60 days or cleared by physician for right side nose laceration.
Yoshiyuki Yoshida suspended 45 days for knockout.
Spencer Fish suspended for 45 days for hard bout and 60 days for right eye laceration.
Ben Rothwell suspended for 45 days for TKO and 60 days for right eyebrow laceration.
Lyoto Machida suspended for 60 days for a left upper lip laceration.
