Looking Ahead To 'WEC 44: Brown vs. Aldo'
Looking Ahead To 'WEC 44: Brown vs. Aldo' With WEC 43 officially in the books, let’s take a sneak peak at the organization’s next big event, WEC 44: Brown vs. Aldo, on November 18th. The show will be hosted inside the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada and will feature a featherweight title fight between champ Mike Brown and Jose Aldo.

Former WEC featherweight top contender Leonard Garcia looks to work his way back towards a title shot as he meets former The Ultimate Fighter 5 runner-up Manny Gamburyan.

Gamburyan was finally able to get off the snide against John Franchi in his last outing at WEC 41, however had lost his two battles prior to that.

Brown was last seen taking a convincing unanimous decision victory over former WEC featherweight stud Urijah Faber at WEC 41 in June. He has been prefect through his last 10 fights, including two wins over Faber.

Speaking of win streaks, Aldo has won eight in a row. He stakes claim to an impressive 15-1 mark overall, however he has never faced a fighter the caliber of Brown before.

Here are the fighters rumored to competing in the night’s event:

Preliminary Bouts:

James Krause vs. Ricardo Lamas
Seth Dikun vs. Frank Gomez
John Franchi vs. Cub Swanson
L.C. Davis vs. Diego Nunes

Main Bouts:

Danny Castillo vs. TBD
Rob McCullough vs. Anthony Pettis
Manny Gamburyan vs. Leonard Garcia
Jose Aldo vs. Mike Brown (WEC Featherweight Champion)
