In what appears to be the UFC’s version of musical chairs, Antonio Rodrigo “Big Nog” Nogueira now appears to be next in line for a run at the heavyweight title. According to The Wrestling Observer via Inside Fights, Nogueira has been tapped to face the winner of the Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin championship bout at UFC 106 on November 21st.
Big Nog earned “Fight of The Night” honors for a convincing victory over Randy “The Natural” Couture at UFC 102 in Portland. Prior to the Couture bout, Nogueira dropped his interim heavyweight title by suffering a technical knock out to Frank Mir at UFC 92.
