It wasn’t the light heavyweight scrap that he was expecting, but it appears that former champion Rashad Evans will be taking on Thiago Silva at UFC 108 on January 2nd inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
MMAJunkie.com has confirmed with sources close to the situation that both fighters have agreed to the contest and bout contracts should be signed and submitted shortly.
It is believed that this bout will serve as the evening’s co-main event with middleweight king Anderson Silva defending his 185-pound crown against Vitor Belfort in the pay-per-view broadcast’s final contest.
