Dana White's Comments That Sent Quinton "Rampage" Jackson Over The Edge The talk of the MMA world continues to be yesterday's surprising announcement by Quinton "Rampage" Jackson that he was retiring at the peak of his popularity. Jackson wrote a lengthy blog explaining his reasons for leaving, culminating in his taking the role of B.A. Baracus in the A-Team movie, a move that made UFC President Dana White very upset. Rampage noted that he had been trying to nab the role for a year.

"As soon as I found out I was close to getting it, I called Dana right away and asked to push the Memphis fight back just a month or so," Jackson wrote. "I told him what this movie role meant to me. I told him that I used to bond with my father watching the TV show as a kid when my parents where still married, and it represents the memories I had with my father when we lived together. My dad became an alcoholic and addicted to drugs and we grew apart. But after my dad got his life back together, I was so proud of my dad and I told him I would always take care of him in the future and make him proud of me. My dad and I are still very big fans of the show, and I am basically doing this for the childhood memories I had spending time in front of the TV with my dad."

“Get a [expletive] grip, dude," White had stated about Rampage accepting the role. "You’re going to make a lot of money. You ain’t going to make a lot of money playing B.A. Baracus on ‘The A-Team. Guess what Rashad Evans is thinking about right now? He’s thinking about beating your f**king ass. He’s not sitting around thinking about how him and his mom used to watch the f**king Love Boat together and he wants to get the role of Isaac the bartender.’”

That comment didn't sit well with the former UFC light heavyweight champion, however he noted that he "still did nothing", even going on to make up with the UFC President late last week.

However, after White had admitted that he and Rampage had "kind of made up", he continued to joke about Rampage accepting the role. The straw that broke the camel's back was White talking about the money Jackson would be making from the movie and a potential sequel during the UFC 103 post-fight press conference, saying that "they got [Rampage] thinking that they're going to make this movie for nothing, and then the sequel he'll make $20 million. I'll pay [Rampage] nothing to fight Rashad, and then give him $20 million for the rematch."

Rampage noted that White's comments weren't true, could affect his future acting career.
