 - The WEC 42: Torres vs. Bowles weigh-ins will take place the day before the event on Saturday, August 8th, at Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The weigh-ins are free and open to the public, and begin at 7 PM ET / PM PT, with doors opening at 3 PM PT.
- AOL Fanhouse is reporting that a bantamweight showdown between Damacio “The Angel of Death” Page (11-4) and Akitoshi “Ironman” Tamura (14-7-2) has been added to WEC 43 on September 2nd in Youngstown, OH. Page is coming off of a 18 second knockout victory over Marcos Galvao at WEC 39, while Tamura is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Manny Tapia at WEC 40.
- Speaking of WEC 43, NWI.com is reporting that Richard Crunkilton Jr. (16-2) will return to the WEC after a near 18-month layoff to face Dave Jansen (12-0) at the event. Crunkilton last fought in the WEC on March 26, 2008 at WEC 33, where he defeated Sergio Gomez via unanimous decision, however hasn't fought since due to injuries. The bout will be Jansen's debut fight with the WEC.
