- Before they do battle at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg on August 15, 2009, in San Jose at the HP Pavillion, Gina Carano and Cyborg Santos attended the 2009 ESPY Awards. - We had reported in May that heavyweight Roger Gracie (2-0) was close to signing with Strikeforce and could be debuting with the organization at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg. However, a post on GracieMag's Twitter account said that Gracie would not be fighting on the card because he is too busy caring for his three-week-old son. No word yet on when Gracie will debut with the organization.
- After dry humping a reporter and getting into a shoving match with Rashad Evans at UFC 100, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson almost got into another altercation with up-and-comer King Mo, while Bobby Lashley sat back. Rampage took King Mo to task for already calling himself "the best", with Rampage replying "Your ass didn't fight nobody and you're the best?". You can watch the full clip below:
