Mike Brown's Next Title Defense Will Be Against Jose Aldo
Mike Brown's Next Title Defense Will Be Against Jose AldoAfter defeating WEC featherweight superstar Urijah Faber (22-3) for the second time at WEC 41: Brown vs. Faber 2, Mike Brown (22-4) is getting set for his next title defense. According to InTheGuard.tv, Brown will defend the WEC featherweight championship at WEC 45 against number one contender Jose Aldo (15-1). The bout will mark Brown's third title defense since winning the title from Faber at WEC 36: Faber vs. Brown last November.

Brown's victory over Faber at WEC 41 garnered fight of the night honors and is an early contender for fight of the year. While Faber was able to hang with Brown for five rounds, despite breaking his right hand in the first round, Brown was able to walk away with a decisive unanimous decision win.

That same card saw Jose Aldo defeat Cub Swanson in just eight seconds of the first round via TKO (flying knees). While Aldo has been in the WEC for just over a year, he has already garnered an impressive 5-0 record in the organization.

WEC 45 will take place on November 11th in a location still to be determined.
