- For those of you who check out our 'Fighters' section, you may have noticed that Brock Lesnar's birthday was this past Monday. The UFC heavyweight champion is now 32 years old.
- Despite his recent arrest (full story), Anthony "Rumble" Johnson (7-2) is moving forward. MMAJunkie.com is reporting that the exciting welterweight is almost finalized to face Yoshiyuki Yoshida (11-3) at UFC 104 in October. Johnson is coming off of a big TKO win over Luigi Fioravanti at UFC Fight Night: Lauzon vs. Stephens this past February. Yoshida is coming off of a submission win over Brandon Wolff at UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida this past May.
- More fights are being confirmed for WEC 43. MMAJunkie.com is reporting that Rafael Assuncao (13-1) vs. Yves Jabouin (14-4) and Wagnney Fabiano (12-1) vs. Erik Koch (8-0) are likely for the event.
- A middleweight bout between Ed Herman (15-7) and Aaron Simpson (5-0) will take place at UFC Fight Night 19 on September 16th. The card is headlined by Nate Diaz facing Melvin Guillard and Roger Huerta taking on Gray Maynard.
- Qunton "Rampage" Jackson, who has been making Brock Lesnar look like Clay Aiken with the media recently, got into a minor scuffle with his Ultimate Fighter Season 10 coach Rashad Evans at UFC 100. UFC President Dana White said that it happens "every time they get within ten feet of each other. Wait 'till you see season 10!"
