Josh Barnett Wants To Prove That Pro Wrestlers Are Bad Asses
Josh Barnett Wants To Prove That Pro Wrestlers Are Bad AssesTop heavyweight contender Josh Barnett (24-5), who moonlights in his spare time as a professional wrestler in Japan, gets ready to face his stiffest challenge to date as he faces WAMMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction: Trilogy on August 1, 2009.

"I expect to become the best fighter in the world," Barnett told Rod Moyer of FightLine.com about what he expects from the fight.

Barnett also addressed if he had any concern about fighting a friend in Emelianenko, widely regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

"Not at all," he exclaimed. "I seek to annihilate everybody."

Barnett also noted that he expects to follow Brock Lesnar's footsteps, noting "I expect to go out there and show my skills, and to prove that pro wrestlers are bad asses."

Affliction: Trilogy takes place on Saturday, August 1st, live on Pay-Per-View from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. FightLine.com and Affliction are partnering up to give away 3 tickets to the event, as well as 10 event shirts. For more details, and to enter the contest, click here.
